Dental Crowns in Maize, KS

Dental crowns are versatile restorations that can efficiently cover and restore teeth, addressing a range of dental issues including:
  • Extensive cavities that cannot be effectively treated with a standard filling.
  • Teeth with substantial fillings requiring additional support for optimal functionality.
  • Teeth with significant injuries necessitating reconstruction.
  • Teeth with pronounced cosmetic imperfections.
  • Weakened teeth vulnerable to fractures.
  • Dental implants requiring restoration following the replacement of missing teeth.
  • Teeth preserved after undergoing root canal therapy.

Getting a dental crown involves a series of steps.

Typically, two appointments are necessary for the fabrication and placement of a new dental crown. At the initial appointment, precise impressions are taken, and any necessary adjustments to the tooth are made. A temporary crown is then placed until the permanent model is prepared. Once the permanent crown is completed by the laboratory and delivered to us, Dr. Bo Davidson will schedule a second appointment to remove the temporary crown and securely cement the final crown in place.

Which individuals qualify for dental crowns?

If deemed necessary, it is highly recommended to undergo the treatment promptly to prevent additional damage to the tooth. If you have an older crown that requires replacement, we can conveniently perform this procedure in our office at a time that suits you.
