Dental Crowns In Wichita, KS

Dental crowns are versatile restorations that effectively cover and rebuild teeth, addressing a range of dental needs including:
  • Significant cavities that cannot be addressed with a regular filling.
  • Extensively filled teeth requiring additional reinforcement for functionality.
  • Teeth with significant injuries requiring reconstruction.
  • Teeth with significant cosmetic flaws.
  • Weakened teeth at risk of breaking.
  • Dental implants in need of restoration after replacing missing teeth.
  • Teeth safeguarded after undergoing root canal therapy.

The process of getting a dental crown

It usually requires two appointments for the creation and placement of a new dental crown. During the initial appointment, we will take precise impressions and make any needed adjustments to the tooth. A temporary crown will be placed until the permanent model is ready. Once the laboratory finishes the permanent crown and sends it to us, Dr. Bo Davidson will schedule a second appointment to remove the temporary crown and securely cement the final crown.

Who is eligible for dental crowns?

Our dentist will carefully examine your teeth to determine if a crown is needed. If it is necessary, it is strongly advised to proceed with the treatment promptly to avoid further damage to the tooth. If you have an older crown that needs to be replaced, we can conveniently perform this procedure in our office at a time that works for you. Our dental team is skilled in placing crowns on any tooth that needs restoration in your mouth.
