Dental Crowns In Moundridge, KS

Dental crowns are versatile restorations that effectively cover and rebuild teeth, addressing a range of dental needs including:
  •  When a tooth has a large cavity that cannot be filled normally.
  •  When a tooth has already had extensive fillings and needs additional support to function properly.
  •  When a tooth has been seriously injured and needs to be reconstructed.
  •  If a tooth has a noticeable cosmetic flaw.
  •  When a tooth is weak and at risk of breaking.
  •  When a missing tooth has been replaced with a dental implant and needs to be restored.
  •  When a tooth has had a root canal and needs protection.

The process of getting a dental crown.

Typically, obtaining a new dental crown involves two appointments. During the initial visit, we will take precise impressions and make any required tooth adjustments. A temporary crown will be placed at this time. Once the permanent crown is created by the laboratory and delivered to us, Dr. Bo Davidson will arrange a second appointment to remove the temporary crown and securely cement the final crown in the patient's mouth.

Who is eligible to be a candidate for dental crowns?

Our dentist will thoroughly examine your teeth to determine if a crown is necessary. If it is, we highly recommend proceeding with the treatment promptly to prevent further damage to the tooth. If you have an older crown that needs to be replaced, we can conveniently perform this procedure in our office at a time that works for you. Our dental team is skilled in placing crowns on any tooth that needs restoration in your mouth.
